A35 Through Chideock Linocut

Updated: Sep 6

The A35 is one of the main arteries to the west of England. Each year it gets busier. Coming over the hill from Bridport you're met by a beautiful Dorset coast panorama and traffic queues down in to Chideock. Exhaust fumes pollute, engine noise disturbs and it’s difficult for pedestrians to cross the road. But a bypass would cut up the adjacent countryside. The whole rural landscape has other issues – soil erosion, reduced biodiversity, nitrate run-off. Complex challenges requiring careful solutions. This picture explores these issues. Screenprint to follow soon as well. This print is for sale - edition of 50.
