This is a view of Coppermill Stream where it is connected to Lower Maynard Reservoir just north of Ferry Lane, Tottenham Hale, in the Walthamstow Wetlands London Wildlife Trust nature reserve. I’m not sure what the place is called, maybe Ferry Lane Filter Beds? If anyone knows I’d be interested to hear. I am attracted by the contrasts of the strong cobolt blue of the pipe in the foreground, with its bright coloured lichen, rust and weathering; the vertical and horizontal patterns of the water with the ripples from the wind, reflections, shadows and vegetation on the bed; and the organic trees and geometric tower blocks in the background.
